My friend Svetlana loves watches, and she owns more eye-catching watches than most men collect in designer shoes. But today's watch rival any you've ever come across, at least in price valuation. Meet the world's most expensive watch, with an eye popping price tag of 5 million dollars.

European watchmaker Hublot released this exquisite watch with the world a few days ago during a news conference, and it’s been catching buzz ever since.

It has nearly 2,182 diamonds. Six of those diamonds are over 3 carats each. In total, this watch has about 140 carats of diamonds. It took 17 people over a year to set each one of these diamonds just right to complete this watch design.

The guy you see in the 3rd picture below is Hublot CEO Jean-Claude Biver flashing the watch’s bling for your very eyes. Mr. Biver said it would be hard for another company to make a more expensive watch since there is only so much room on a watch to put diamonds. Of course, there are already several people who want to purchase this for 5 million dollars. Would you pay 5 million for a watch even if you had the money?
