Sorapot 2: Watch Your Tea Leaves Unfurl As They Steep

Hey guys, I hope you're enjoying the weekend. Today's subject is for all the avid tea lovers among you. I'm about to show you a stylish teapot that will hopefully take tea ceremony as you know it to the next level. Instead of waiting for the tea leaves to uneventfully get soaked in hot water behind the steel casing of your teapot, how about watching the tea leaves unfold right before your eyes? Designer Joey Roth created a special teapot called Sorapot 2 that allows you to do just that. Check out the images below to see it in action.

While drinking tea is a popular ceremony that many of us enjoy, most people have no idea what happens within the steel confines of their teapots. I personally think it would be great to be able to see what happens within your teapot while you're making your tea. Few of us have seen what it's like when the floating tea leaves slowly color the boiling water, becoming that tasty, hot beverage you so love. Thanks to Joey Roth's ingenious design, Sorapot 2 allows you to witness how a bunch of tea leaves and a few cups of boiling water turn into steaming hot, delicious tea.

When it comes down to it, Sorapot 2 functions a lot like any other teapot: you open it at the spout, pour hot water in it, toss in some tea leaves and watch the miracle happen. There is a catch however: it's entirely transparent. Since the body of Sorapot 2 is essentially a transparent glass chamber, you can watch all the magic that happens inside while brewing your tea. One side note here is that of course you can use it with tea bags too, much of the show would be lost that way. So for a visual ecstasy, use tea leaves instead.

Sorapot 2 can be pre-ordered for $285 and $31.55 for shipping. The price is nothing to sneeze at but considering the mesmerizing artistic quality of Sorapot 2, it's probably worth it. I don't know about you but I love the idea of a transparent teapot and I think that Joey has hit the nail on the head with his simple, elegant but stylish design. I hope you enjoyed reading today's post as much as I enjoyed writing it. If so, follow us on Facebook or Twitter and share your thoughts with us about Sorapot 2 in the comments below.
